Donchian/Turtle trend-follower on daily bars: buys a new 20-day high and exits on a new 10-day low or its ATR stop. No take-profit — the point is to let a winner run. A widening profit-lock trail (per-account switch, on for live-1 and paper-main) arms at +15% and keeps a stop 5% under the peak, widening to 15% from a +30% peak and 25% from +60%; it moves only on the daily close (00:00 UTC), so intraday spikes can't shake a position out.

Governs ONE stock’s buy at a time — how big it is, and (for QSR) how often the same ticker can be re-bought. Every stock gets its own independent counters. Nothing here limits how many DIFFERENT stocks are bought; that’s the per-strategy config above (pot, open positions, buys per day).

Example: AAVE/USD at its live price of $166.74 — this config buys:

with a 5% stop → 0.204094 units ($34.03 buy value, risking $1.70) — limited by max buy value 4% of pot.

with the widest stop the strategy allows (15%) — the smallest buy it will ever make → 0.204094 units ($34.03 buy value, risking $5.10) — limited by max buy value 4% of pot.

Max BUY VALUE per buy % — ONE stock ≈ $34.03 max value of one buy → buys ≈ $34.03 at a 5% stop · $34.03 at the widest stop (15%) (AAVE/USD) THE MAIN BUY-SIZE LEVER — the most one buy can be, as % of this strategy’s POT (units × price). Arms once a buy is up by the arm %, then keeps a stop trail % below the running peak (ratchets up, never down). Off unless switched on here. Evidence: pnpm backtest:crypto-trail. Applies to NEW entries only.

Moves only on the daily close (00:00 UTC / 01:00 UK summer) — the resting stop still fires 24/7, but intraday spikes don’t drag it up. The stop never moves down.
